In the space of the Panopticon, the doors of the Postmortem room opened this summer, introducing the ancient burial customs:

• Burning a graven candle (grabnyčia) overnight
• Mourning the lost ones
• Photographing the dead
• Wearing mourning attributes

As you know, in the 19th century mortality was very high, and various diseases constantly accompanied people. Issue formed deep traditions of mourning and burial. Visitors and children with weaker nerves may find the contents of this room extremely shocking.

This room is open during the festivals or the Historical Adventure Park program.
