We invite children to an exciting and interactive introduction to life on the Pakruojis Manor farm! Here, little ones will not only observe the animals, but also become real young farmers themselves – feeding, petting and caring for them while learning why each animal is important to people.

During the educational programme, children will:

• meet chickens, roosters and chicks, collect eggs and learn how they are produced;
• feed ducks and geese, observe their behaviour and learn about their way of life;
• feed and pet goats and sheep, touch wool and discover how it is turned into yarn and clothing;
• meet a cow – feed, water and groom it, and learn how milk is obtained;
• try their hand at churning butter and discover how milk is turned into butter, cottage cheese, cheese and kefir;
• taste a variety of dairy products.

Through games and hands-on activities, children will discover the entire journey of a product – from the animal and its food to milk, eggs, butter or woollen clothing.

This educational journey will help children understand where food comes from, how much work goes into growing and producing it, and how and why we should care for animals and avoid wasting food.
